NEWS:

August 2010 - Piece for 10 pianos and orchestra commissioned by Calisia Filharmony.
Bartosz was commissioned to write a piece for 10 pianos and symphony orchestra. First performance will take place in Calisia during the "Bursztynowym Szlakiem" festival (1-X-2010). More info about this concert at: >>click here

July 2010 - Defence of doctoral thesis has succesfully completed. Commission positively estimated the dissertation and its defense and decided to appeal to the University Council about the awarding Bartosz Kowalski the title of Doctor of arts.

June 2010 - Jubilate Deo II. 
The first performance of the new composition "Jubilate Deo II" for two pianos, two percussions and cornet, took place in Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, during the choral concert. The part of cornet was performed by composer. 

May 2010 - Bartosz Kowalski has won first prize in W. Landowska Composer's Competition for harpsichord. His composition "Klawitiuda" was performed by Alina Ratkowska during the final concert of the competition. >>click to see this composition

April 2010 - Sławomir Tomasik -the first performer of the "Little polish concerto" for violin and strings. First performance took place in Wroclaw, Ratusz with Youth Strings orchestra conducted by Marzena Diakun. >>click here

April 2010 - The recording session of the composition "Stadium II". 
The recording session of the new composition "Stadium II" for strings, percussion and piano, took place in Chopin Univercity of Music in Warsaw in April 2010. (Unplugged-Orchestra, Michal Smigielski - conductor, Leszek Lorent - percussion, Bartosz Kowalski - piano).

February 2010 - Bartosz Kowalski started to write a music to a new film - "Wieczór Kuglarzy", directed by Malgorzata Kaluzynska.

November 2010 - Com'in Festival and "A little polish music" conducted by composer.
Bartosz Kowalski conducted his composition for strings

June 2008. Two new compositions came into being: "Small Polish Music"for string orchestra and "Fletiuda" for flute and piano. First of these two works is dedicated to Michal Smigielski -conductor, second work "Fletiuda" is dedicated to Joanna Swiatek (flutist).

6-VI-2008 -Solemn concert on the the occasion of ninetieth anniversary of The association ZAIKS. Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lukasz Borowicz played works composes by: Bartosz Kowalski, Tomasz Opalka, Adrian Foltyn and M. Kluzowicz. 

1-III-2008 Composition "Tchnienie Wiosny" (Breath of spring) for string orchestra was recorded by "Unplugged-Orchestra" in Warsaw Academy (Michal Smigielski - conductor)

3-I-2008 Szymanowski Composer's Competition: Second prize for "Exanastasis for orchestra" composed by Bartosz Kowalski-Bansewicz. 

6-XII-2007 Symphony of the circles was performed in Warsaw Academy of Music (Warsaw Academy Orchestra, Miroslaw Blaszczyk, conductor)

Symphony No 2: was performed during the inauguration concert for the Grzegorz Fitelberg International Conducting Competition  together with new compositions of Wojciech Kilar and Stanislaw Moryto. ( in November 16th , 2007 (7:00 p.m.) in Katowice, Poland), (Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra in Katowice), Miroslaw Blaszczyk - conduktor

VIII-2007 Kwartludium: New composition of Bartosz Kowalski: "Micro-Circulation" will be recorded on CD by Kwartludium ensemble 

30-III-2007 Mocni Moca Miłosci:  First Performance of "Wojtyliana";  Orchestra of Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Centrum Myśli JP2 Choir;  Kazimierz Dąbrowski-conductor. 

19-XII-2006  Bartosz Kowalski won a First Prize in G. Fitelberg Composers Competition for Symphony No. II.  The composition awarded the First Prize will be performed during the inauguration concert for the Grzegorz Fitelberg International Conducting Competition together with new compositions of Wojciech Kilar and Stanislaw Moryto. ( in November, 2007 in Katowice, Poland)

10-XII-2006 Bartosz Kowalski is invited by Krzysztof Knittel to become a member of  the Ad Libitum Festival Commision

24-X-2006: Bartosz started to compose the work for choir and orchestra commissioned by "Nova Hereditas" for concert in Warsaw Chopin Academy. Performance will be probably in the begining of the apriel 2007

23-X-2006: Bartosz is makeing arrangements for IKAR ensemble. 

21-X-2006: Elsner Music School Jubilee Concert. Bartosz performed his new composition "4-th blue" together with Magdalena Bojanowicz (cello) .On this concert he also performed  a new work of Krzysztof Knittel "Sonata da Camera 18". This work is dedicated especially for Bartosz Kowalski (as a performer) and Michal Gorczynski . Bartosz performed this piece playing trumpet, french horn and also sakshorn. 

07-X-2006: Sonata da Camera 18, composition of Krzysztof Knittel was dedicated especially for: Michal Gorczynski (clarinetto) and Bartosz Kowalski (trumpet, french horn)
